Does Lemaro reply to my customers on its own? +
No. Never. You approve every message that goes out β with a π, an edit βοΈ, or β to skip. It's your business, your voice. Lemaro suggests; you decide.
Do I have to use WhatsApp? +
No. You can run everything from the Lemaro app on your phone or computer. WhatsApp is optional β most lawn pros use both because WhatsApp is already open all day.
Do I need to speak Spanish? +
No. The product is in English by default. If you'd rather run your end of the business in Spanish, turn on the bilingual kit in settings β it translates your customers' English into Spanish for you, and your Spanish replies back into polished English. Off by default.
Do I need an SSN to sign up? +
No. The Lemaro subscription is paid with card or ACH β we don't ask for SSN or ITIN to create the account. We just need an email, a phone, and your business name.
Do my customers know it's an assistant? +
You decide. By default Lemaro signs SMS as "[your business]" β the customer thinks they're texting you. You can turn on the transparent "Lemaro from [your business]" signature if you prefer to be upfront with customers.
Do my customers need WhatsApp or an app? +
No. We use regular SMS β works on any US phone with nothing to install. WhatsApp is only for you, optionally, to talk with Lemaro.
What about my employees? +
Your crew texts the business number for simple questions ("what's my Tuesday?", "where's Mrs. Johnson?"). Lemaro answers them directly. If they ask for changes (day off, leave early), Lemaro asks you first β you approve or decline.
Does Lemaro charge my customers? +
No. Lemaro doesn't handle billing. You keep using whatever you use today (Venmo, Zelle, Square, check, cash). We focus on communication and scheduling β billing isn't our business.
How much does the SMS cost? +
Included in your subscription for normal use within your tier. If you exceed the limit (~1,500 messages/mo on Solo, ~5,000 on Grow), we tell you before charging anything extra. No surprise bills.
How long does setup take? +
The account itself: 5 minutes. Business SMS registration (10DLC) takes 10β15 days β Meta/carriers run it, not us. WhatsApp Business takes another 1β3 weeks. While we wait, your trial extends β we don't charge until you're live.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Anytime, no penalty. Your data is always yours β you can export it before canceling.
